BREAKING: FedEx Plane Catches Fire Midair Before Making Emergency Landing- wna24

New Delhi: A FedEx cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport on Saturday morning after a bird strike ignited one of its engines, sending plumes of smoke into the sky, said reports. 

A dramatic video captured the right engine engulfed in flames as the aircraft landed. 

Despite the engine failure, the pilots managed to safely land the plane at 8:07 a.m., even as the fire continued to burn. Emergency crews rushed to the aircraft upon touchdown. 

No injuries were reported, though officials have not confirmed how many people were on board.  

As a precaution, air traffic at Newark Airport was briefly halted following the incident. However, normal operations resumed shortly after.
