Horrifying Eyewitness Account of Balochistan Train Hijack Exposes Pakistan Army Claims- wna24

Lahore: Reports emerging from Bolan, Balochistan, suggest that the death toll from the Jaffar Express hijack may be higher than officially stated. An eyewitness has reportedly claimed that 70 to 80 bodies were visible at the site, with more possibly inside the train. This contrasts with the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, which alleged that only 21 passengers and four security personnel were killed.

The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which has claimed responsibility for the attack, had earlier alleged that they killed over 100 Pakistani soldiers who had been held hostage during the 35-hour-long siege before the security operation ended.

According to reports, the attack took place when heavily armed BLA militants intercepted the Jaffar Express, derailing it and allegedly taking over 100 passengers hostage. Survivors have described chaotic scenes as gunfire erupted inside the train. One eyewitness, who was reportedly at the site, claimed that the real number of casualties could be much higher than what the Pakistan Army has admitted.

“There were bodies everywhere,” the eyewitness is reported to have said, adding that the attackers allegedly executed uniformed personnel inside the train.

Pakistan’s ISPR has officially stated that 25 people, including four security personnel, were killed, but reports citing eyewitness accounts and BLA statements suggest that the actual number may be much higher. The militant group has claimed that over 100 Pakistani soldiers were executed before the siege ended.

While the security forces later launched an operation, reports indicate that 16 militants were killed. However, it remains unclear how many hostages were safely rescued.

Balochistan has remained a volatile region, with frequent attacks targeting security forces and infrastructure. The latest incident has raised concerns over Pakistan’s handling of security in the region, with questions being raised about the military’s response and transparency regarding the operation.

As investigations continue, the exact sequence of events and the true casualty figures remain uncertain. Reports continue to emerge, and further details are awaited.
