Microsoft Services Down: Millions of Users Left Unable to Access Emails- wna24

Microsoft services, including Outlook, have reportedly suffered a global outage, leaving millions of users unable to access their emails. The issue has triggered a flurry of complaints on social media, with reports of the company’s services being unavailable worldwide. As per reports, several Microsoft services appear to have been affected by the outage, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Store. The users have reported being unable to access these services, causing disruption to their work and personal activities.

According to tracking website Downdetector, the issues with Microsoft 365 began around 9 pm UK Time on Saturday. The website shows a major spike in user reports of problems with the service during this time.

Following the outage, the users took to social media to express their frustration and concern about the outage. One user wrote, “So I’m guessing Microsoft Outlook is having issues, everyone around me has just been logged out of their emails.” Another user added, “I think Microsoft Outlook has gone down? Anyone else been signed out of Outlook or Hotmail?”

Meanwhile, after the global outage, some users attempted desperately to contact Outlook to report the issue and seek assistance. One another user tweeted, “Hey. What’s going on with your software, no one can login to Outlook, and the error keeps saying too many attempts! What’s going on?”

The outage left several users frustrated and miffed. However, a few were seen taking a humorous dig at the situation. A social media user quipped, “I thought I was getting my outlook hacked, turns out the entire Microsoft platform is getting hacked. Thank God it’s not personal.”

Meanwhile, Microsoft is yet to comment on the outage, leaving users wondering when the services will be restored.

Earlier, a massive Microsoft outage in July 2024 wreaked havoc worldwide, causing widespread disruptions to critical services. The technical glitch, triggered by a faulty update from cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, resulted in a global shutdown of Windows operating systems. The outage had a ripple effect, grounding flights and knocking out essential services, including hospitals, GP surgeries, train services, banks, stock exchanges, and TV channels. The shutdown of digital checkouts forced shops in Australia to either close temporarily or resort to cash-only transactions.

In the United States, the outage had severe consequences, with emergency services lines going down in several states, including Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Ohio. As the most widely used operating system globally, Windows’ shutdown affected nearly every sector of the global economy.
