Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of continuing its attacks on Ukrainian cities, saying Moscow’s actions contradict any claims of seeking peace. In a social media post, Zelensky condemned the latest wave of Russian airstrikes and drone attacks, calling on the world to stand united against Russian aggression.

Zelensky: Russia “Doesn’t Want This War to End”

Zelensky detailed the scale of recent attacks, saying that over the past week, Russian forces had launched more than 1,050 attack drones, nearly 1,300 bombs, and over 20 missiles against Ukraine.

“Ukraine is fighting for a normal and safe life, which it deserves, for peace – fair and lasting. We want this war to end. But Russia doesn’t, and it continues its air terror,” he wrote.

The Ukrainian president argued that Moscow’s continued bombardment showed no genuine interest in negotiations. “If you want talks, don’t target people with ballistic missiles,” he added.

Heavy Casualties Reported in Donetsk and Kherson

As the conflict continues, Ukrainian authorities reported multiple civilian casualties from recent Russian attacks.

In the eastern Donetsk region, police said two people were killed and three others injured over the past 24 hours. The attacks also damaged or destroyed dozens of homes.

In the southern Kherson region, five people were killed and 13 others wounded, including three police officers who were evacuating the body of a man killed in a drone strike, according to local officials.

Call for Stronger International Support

Zelensky urged the international community to take stronger action to stop Russian airstrikes.

“To make Russia stop the strikes, we need the world to be more united and stronger,” he wrote, reinforcing Ukraine’s plea for continued Western support.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts to find a resolution to the war, the latest attacks indicate that Russia is intensifying its military campaign. The situation remains critical as Ukraine braces for further strikes in the coming days.
