Tom Cruise suffered from dyslexia when he was young. His main reason for joining Scientology was because it helped him overcome dyslexia. In fact, Tom was brought up in a strict Catholic household and wanted to become a priest.

Tom Cruise has refused to lend his face for action figures and video games. However, Disney apparently modelled the lead character of their 1992 film ‘Aladdin’ on the actor who was riding high on the success of films like ‘A Few Good Men’ and ‘Days of Thunder’.

Tom Cruise has played hero in real life too. He saw a woman get hit by a car in 1996 and rushed her to the hospital. He even paid her bill of $7000 after realising she didn’t have insurance.

Tom Cruise has won three Golden Globe awards so far. Although he has been nominated for the Oscars thrice, Tom Cruise has never won the coveted award.

For the first ‘Mission: Impossible’ film that released in 1996, Tom Cruise decided to turn into a producer.
