X Down Again, Third Global Outage In A Day As Users Say Unable to Post Content- wna24

New Delhi: X, formerly Twitter, reported another global outage, third time on Monday, after users globally said that they are unable to push content on the microblogging site.

X reported first outage at around 3 pm on Monday, followed by second outage at 7:32 pm. The users once again reported issues while pushing content on the microblogging site at around 9:32 pm, according to down detector.

X’s website and App, both platforms reported issues as 52 per cent of those trying to access X faced hurdle posting content on website while 40 per cent reported issues on the App.

Now X but formerly Twitter, is owned by billionaire entrepreneur and US President Donald Trump ‘s close aide Elon Musk. Musk apart from his other businesses also head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under the Trump administration.

The first outage occurred at 3 pm today when around 2,612 users reported issues such as problem in uploading content. The second issue erupted between 6 pm and 7:30 pm, affecting 1,312 users. The third outage impacted operations at around 7:30 pm after users globally reported problem in posting content.

Being one of the most intense outage in X or Twitter’s history, the platform still remains unstable.

‘Fire Himself’ say X users to Elon Musk 

Many users took to Downdetector and slammed X boss Elon Musk as they continued to face issues on the microblogging site. Among many who bursted out their frustration suggested Musk to ‘fire himself’ as he was unable to solve the outage.

Another user reported that Musk is terrible in running X adding the site was not working in India.

Elon Musk claims massive cyberattack on X

Hours after X faced repeated outages on Monday, social media site boss Elon Musk claimed a massive cyberattack and suggested that a large, coordinated group or a country may have been involved in this. Musk said that they are attacked everyday but today’s attack was done using a lot of resources adding they are tracing the issue.

Users worldwide faced multiple issues like log-in, page loads, feed, search among others as they tried to push their content on the social media platform.

Not the first time when X faced global outage. There has been various instances in the past when the microblogging platform was hit by operations disruption including the one in January 2024 when several high profile accounts were hacked to push cryptocurrency scams.

Another cyber attack on X in January last year exposed 5.4 million accounts, raising questions on the personal data of millions of users on the platform.
