Kyiv: After a tense Oval Office showdown with U.S. President Donald Trump , Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a video post expressing his “gratitude” for the support Ukraine has received from the Europe, UK its allies.

In his video post, Zelensky showed his Gratitude for unity and cooperation received from European nations and the United States. “As a result of these days, we see clear support from Europe. Even more unity, even more willingness to cooperate,” Zelensky stated. He highlighted the collective stance of Europe, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Türkiye, on the need for real security guarantees to achieve lasting peace.
Zelensky also acknowledged the crucial role of the United States in supporting Ukraine’s fight for independence. “Of course, we understand the importance of America, and we are grateful for all the support we’ve received from the United States. There has not been a day when we haven’t felt gratitude. It’s gratitude for the preservation of our independence – our resilience in Ukraine is based on what our partners are doing for us – and for their own security,” he said.
The Ukrainian President reiterated the need for peace and security guarantees, stating, “What we need is peace, not endless war. And that’s why we say security guarantees are the key to this.”
The confrontation, which took place during a meeting recently between the two leaders intended to discuss a key U.S.-Ukraine minerals agreement, quickly escalated into a heated exchange about the nature of U.S. support and Ukraine’s ongoing war with Russia.
