Washington: US Attorney General Pam Bondi released a new set of government documents related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on Thursday.

The newly released files reportedly include an address book containing the names of high-profile personalities from various fields, including politics, business, and entertainment.

The 100-page list released by Pam Bondi includes names such as Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, pop star Michael Jackson, actor Alec Baldwin, Ethel Kennedy (mother of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.), supermodel Naomi Campbell, and musician Courtney Love.

Officials clarified that the list is not a client list but rather a compilation of contacts that Epstein had in his possession.

According to AP, the batch of documents includes copies of flight logs from Epstein’s private plane, the Lolita Express, which have long been available in multiple court cases, and a heavily redacted photocopy of an address book purportedly compiled by Epstein and his longtime confidante, Ghislaine Maxwell. This address book has been cited in media reports for many years.

Reports also claim that much of the information released had already been made public through several lawsuits and leaks over the years. Critics have pointed out that the release did not provide new details about Epstein’s crimes or his connections to famous people, which have long been the subject of intense media scrutiny.

Over the years, thousands of pages of records have been released through lawsuits, Epstein’s criminal dockets, public disclosures, and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. In January 2024, a court unsealed the final batch of documents collected as evidence in a lawsuit filed by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre.

Two versions of Epstein’s “little black book,” which had emerged earlier in a court case, included records from 2004 to 2005 and featured a list of famous names, such as Prince Andrew, Governor Andrew Cuomo, industrialist David Koch, singer Jimmy Buffett, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and ex-Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

Another version, released again, contained contacts from the 1990s and included 349 names, with 221 individuals not present in the previously released 2015 records. Among those on the list were Donald Trump , former President Bill Clinton, Britain’s Prince Andrew, and magician David Copperfield.

The Jeffrey Epstein files comprise a 100-page document that contains crucial information about the convicted sex offender’s clients, including their names, contacts, flight details, and other confidential information.

Epstein was accused of sexually abusing dozens of underage girls in the early 2000s but was jailed for only 13 months. He was indicted on federal charges in New York in 2019, more than a decade after he secretly struck a deal with federal prosecutors in Florida to avoid similar charges of sex trafficking.

The Little Saint James Island, which Epstein owned, is alleged to be the site where these child sex crimes took place.

Epstein died in 2019 in his jail cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City while awaiting trial.

The case has drawn widespread public attention due to Epstein and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell’s links to royals, presidents, and billionaires. Maxwell herself is the daughter of the late British media tycoon Robert Maxwell, who once owned the New York Daily News.
