Ans. (a) (i) Multicellular organisms are composed of millions of different types of cells which form specific tissues to perform a specific function more efficiently. There is a divison of labour amongst cells making these organisms more efficient.
(ii) Due to the deposition of lignin on the walls. These walls later become so thick that there is hardly any internal space inside the cell.
(iii) It is because of the presence of thick waxy coating of cutin.
