Ans. (i) Mixed cropping: Growing two or more crops simultaneously on the same piece of land is called mixed cropping.
For example: Wheat + gram, or wheat + mustard, or groundnut + sunflower.
(ii) Intercropping: Growing two or more crops simultaneously on the same field in a definite pattern is called intercropping. For example: Soyabean + maiza, or finger millet (bajra) + cowpea (lobia).
(iii) Crop-rotation: The growing of different crops on a piece of land in a preplanned succession is known as crop-rotation. For example: Growing two or more crops on a piece of land during a year.
