Q. State Newton’s third law of motion. Give two examples.
Ans. Newton’s third law of motion states that, to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Examples are:
(i) When we exert a force (action) on a wall by pushing it with the palm of our hand, we experience a force (reaction) exerted by the wall on our palm
(ii) When a bullet is fired, the recoil of the gun is the reaction produced.
