(c) Road accidents at high speeds are very much worse than accidents at low speeds.
Ans. (a) Cars are provided with seat belts to prevent injuries in case of an accident. This the seat belt does by increasing the time taken by the passenger to fall forward.
(b) It is because the jumping man, who is moving with speed of the bus, would tend to remain in motion due to inertia and would get hurt due to resistance offered by the ground.
(c) This is because the momentum of vehicles at high speed is very high and causes a lot of damage to the vehicles and injuries to passengers during the collision.
