Why do we classify organisms ?

Q. Why do we classify organisms ?
Ans. The method of placing organisms into groups or subgroups on the basis of similarities and differences is called classification.
There are millions of life forms and we cannot look at them one by one. Instead, we look for similarities among the organisms, which will allow us to put them into different classes and then study different classes or groups as a whole. Thus, it becomes easier to study such a large group of organisms by simply classifying them.
