Suppose gravity of earth suddenly becomes zero, then in which direction will the moon begin to move if no other celestial body affects it?

Ans. Gravitational pull of the earth on the moon provides centripetal force to the moon to move in a circular path around the earth. If gravity. becomes zero, there will be no centripetal force hence the moon will begin to move in a straight line tangent to its circular path due to inertia of direction.
