Q. What are Rabi and Kharif crops? Give two examples each. 
Ans. (i) Rabi crops: The crops which are grown in the winter season, called the rabi season from November to April, are called the rabi crops.
e.g., Wheat, gram, peas, mustard and linseed are rabi crops.
(ii) Kharif crops : The crops which are grown in the rainy season, called the kharif season from June to October, are called the kharif crops.
e.g., Paddy, soyabean, pigeon pea, maize, cotton, green gram and black gram are kharif crops.
